CRUISE opportunities through Harwich International Port and in the wider Haven Gateway subregion are attracting more and more interest from cruise lines looking for new and exciting itineraries.

The Harwich and Haven Gateway Team are making their final preparations ahead of the Cruise Miami exhibition on 17 - 19 March 2009.

Harwich International Port has placed an order for a new passenger boarding bridge to provide improved passenger access between the Cruise Terminal building and the ever-increasing number of cruise vessels calling at the Port.

Harwich International Port is celebrating a record number of seven transit calls in 2008, with the arrival of the 2,200-berth 'MSC Opera' on 26 August 2008.
