Attendance at the major cruise exhibitions is vital as it is a rarely available opportunity to speak to the cruise line executive decision-makers as well as the chance to highlight the gems available in the sub-region to the shore-side excursion companies.  Attendance at Miami and Hamburg in 2009 has firmly established Harwich's presence in the mind of these important decision makers and continued attendance at Miami in 2010 will continue to reinforce our message that Harwich and the sub-region is a great place for the cruise ships to call at, on both transit and turnaround calls.

We were absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for turnaround port of the year at the Seatrade Insider Cruise Awards held in Hamburg and proud to be announced as runner-up to Venice.  It is great to receive acknowledgement for the investment that the Port has undertaken in the past year.
